Online course on EU funding

Together with my colleague Jeff Alberghi, we held our first online course (in Spanish) on how to obtain EU funding for social, cultural or environmental projects. The idea came to us because in the last 1,5 years we have seen many smaller organisations struggle in Spain because of a shift in political priorities after the recent regional elections. At the same time, when the floods hit 75 municipalities in the South of Valencia city, many associations and NGOs were affected. According to a study by Fundació Horta sur, 50% of the associations in the areas lost huge part of their materials and even jobs.

The beginning of 2025 was also strategically a very good moment to embark in the EU funding world. Different calls are open or will open, e.g. by the Erasmus+ or Creative Europe programme and the programming period 2021 – 2027 is still in full speed, without any relevant changes to the strategic priorities with the new European Commission and Parliament in place since summer 2024.

The course consisted of four 2h online sessions and an additional workbook. All participants received the full recordings and PPT afterwards and had the option to book additional personalised coaching sessions with us to finalise their first project proposal or receive other training (e.g. on EU communications).

All the course recordings and materials can still be purchased in our webshop.

And after the successful pilot training course, we are now opening up waiting lists for the next editions in Spanish, French and English. If you are interested, please contact us by email (dfischer@legadosharpefischer.eu).
